We had a relationship with a Quran School in Saudi through Dr Sana, who helped create communication between the two schools. The Saudi Quran School provided us with advice, help in structuring the school, technics on how to teach adults Quran memorization and books for all the classes of different levels.
They also helped provided online classes as a professional training to all our teachers in Qaydah Nouraniyah with the purpose of getting Ijazah in Tajweed Rules through Qaydah Nouraniyah.

International Relationships with other Quran Schools

In the summer of 2010, the school tried to have relationship with Dar Al Quran for girls in Mekness in Morocco, they helped providing us with technics on how to conduct a Quran class, we learned from their experience and we discussed the possibility of creating an alliance between the two schools.

Arabic Language Caligraphic Styles

Deewani script is an Ottoman development parallel to Shikasteh (broken style). The script was largely developed by the accomplished calligrapher Ibrahim Munif in the late 15th century from the Turkish/Persian Ta'liq. Deewani reached its zenith in the 17th century, thanks to the famous calligrapher Shala Pasha.

Like Riq'a, Deewani became a favorite script for writing in the Ottoman chancellery. Deewani is excessively cursive and highly structured with its letters undotted and unconventionally joined together. It uses no vowel marks. Deewani also developed an ornamental variety called Deewani Jali which also was known as Humayuni (Imperial). The development of Deewani Jali is credited to Hafiz Uthman. The spaces between the letters are spangled with decorative devices which do not necessarily have any orthographic value. Deewani Jali is highly favored for ornamental purposes.

Kufi was the dominant priestly script in early times. It was created after the establishment of the two Muslim cities of Basrah and Kufah in the second decade of the Islamic era (8th century A.D.). The script has specific proportional measurements, along with pronounced angularity and squareness. It became known as al-Khat al-Kufi (Kufi script).

Kufi script had a profound effect on all Islamic calligraphy. In contrast to its low verticals, Kufi has horizontal lines that are extended. The script is considerably wider than it is high. This gives it a certain dynamic momentum. The script often is chosen for use on oblong surfaces. With its glorious Handasi (geometrical) construction, Kufi could be adapted to any space and material -- from silk squares to the architectural monuments left by Timur at Samarqand.

Because Kufi script was not subjected to strict rules, calligraphers employing it had virtually a free hand in the conception and execution of its ornamental forms.

2008-2009 The Sisters Arabic School

The school Started on September 2008.We have have had more students this year: around 40 students and six class: Arabic for beginners class, Conversational Arabic and Quran Memorization. For the intermediate level, we had conversational Arabic class, Arabic grammar class and Quran Memorization long ‘Surats’. This was with help of four teachers:Imani Hassinah Firdaws and Hajiba.
By the end of the year, students of the beginners level were able to read and write Arabic and to know basic tools of conversation. Besides this, they had to present an Arabic Presentation as a final project on the video. They were also able to memorize some short’s’ in Quran.
The students in the intermediate level were able to study some Arabic Grammatical rules, Tajweed rules and Memorized long ‘suar’ in Quran and did their Arabic presentation project for the finals.

2007-2008The sisters’ Arabic school

We had two classes going on: Tajweed Class Second Level, Conversational Arabic class and Arabic for beginners. I was teaching Tajweed rules class, which consists of learning the correct way of reading The Arabic language but this time, under my supervision, all the students who have completed first year of Tajweed Rules had to do there own extended research on one of the Tajweed Rules and to present their topic in the classroom to everybody. The other class was taught by Ustathah Umm Naser .She was teaching the students The Arabic Alphabet and how to read and write Arabic. I was teaching Conversational Arabic every the third week of every month .The class was consisted of presenting recipes by the students in Arabic language and helping the others learn the ingredients in Arabic and enjoying the food at the end of the class.
The test at the end of the year consisted of written test about Tajweed rules and the vocabulary they learnt from the recipes and Quran recitation of the ‘Suraat’ Studied with the proper rules and reading any page of Quran with Tajweed rules. Conserning Arabic for beginners, Students had a written test with reading and writing exercises.
The graduation party was held at the end of the year with the students reading Quran with the proper rules and reciting some Quran verses. More than 50 sisters attended the party .The teachers had gifts and the students had their certificates of completion signed by their teachers, the Imam of the mosque, and the President of the mosque.

2007-2008 Recipes Presentation in Arabic with the English Translation

Part of the students assignments was to prepare a recipe of their choice and to present it in Arabic and English in front of other students.
Here are some pictures of some recipes presentation:

Recipe: BAGELS WITH CREAM CHEEZE كعك بكريمة الجبن

Ingredients ----المقادير
· Bagel ---- الكعك Al ka3k
· Butter ---- الزبده Azzubdah
· 1 container cream cheese ----علبة كريمة الجبن 3ulbat kreemat al jubn


Directions ---الطريقة

Take the bagel and split it open along the width. ---
ناخذ الكعك ونفتحه من الوسط هكذا
Next, put both pieces into the toaster and toast until golden brown. ---
-ثم نطرح القطعتين في المحمصة حتى تتحمر قليلا
Take the bagels out of the toaster and let cool slightly, about 2 minutes.
----نخرج الخبز من المحمصة ونتركه يبرد دقيقتين
Once slightly cooled, spread butter on both slices. ---
- عندما تبرد الشريحتين ندهنهما بالزبدة
After that, spread cream cheese on both slices. ---
-بعد ذالك ندهنهما بكريمة الجبن
Finally, say your prayer and enjoy! –
